Building eco-friendly homes...

We are dedicated to building Leeds level/eco-friendly homes in our development.  There are several key reasons beyond the general need to save energy an build efficient homes.

First, power on the island is not consistent.  Building an energy friendly home with site location that allows for daylight harvesting and long roof overhangs to protect your home from the same sun along with solar power options for each home allows for minimal use of power during the day.

Second, lowering the impact of building on a site lowers the carbon footprint and saves energy for the home-owner and the north coast.  For example.  Our team will be constructing the general structure using a very efficient North American method of pour in place concrete.  Its much faster and stronger than traditional cinder block construction and looks the same when complete.  This means less impact on the site & rapid general construction build times which equals great quality and reasonable cost.

Third, is our lighting plan.  Every light in the development and home will use LED technology.  This speaks to overall lower consumption and generally today the output levels are better than older lamps.

Fourth.  Due to our unique location, our development has very consistent on-shore breezes that can have a major impact on keeping you home comfortable.  Its typical in the DR to have Air conditioning in your home, but more typically only in the bedrooms.  Open living with large indoor/outdoor spaces are in our master plan for each home.  Each home will be situated on each lot to take full advantage of the natural breeze to keep your home comfortable without the need for air conditioning running all the time.

In General, we believe that each home can and should operate mainly off the grid, if you deploy the Solar options along with back up generators that are required.  you can manage a very low cost for energy and long lasting technology to support you home or rental property.
