Santo Domingo.- Tourism Minister David Collado announced that the Dominican Republic’s focus at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2025, held from January 22 to 26 in Madrid, will be securing new investments and enhancing air connectivity.
Collado emphasized the importance of these goals, stating that improved connectivity will attract more tourists, while increased investments will lead to additional accommodations and a more diverse tourism offering. Known for its innovative proposals and achievements, the Dominican Republic has solidified its reputation as a top Caribbean destination.
This year’s FITUR presentation will feature an immersive 3D stand with interactive experiences, exclusive networking areas, over 60 business modules, and a packed work agenda. Key outcomes are expected to include strategic agreements with airlines and tour operators, announcements of innovative projects, and new hotel investments to expand the country’s tourism capacity and global leadership.
