Santo Domingo.- Samuel Pereyra, the administrator of the Banreservas, highlighted the significance of a new hotel chain’s commitment to Puerto Plata, expressing optimism that it will revitalize tourism in the northern region. Following an agreement with the Dominican Republic, the hotel chain is set to commence operations in Punta Bergantín.
Pereyra emphasized the efforts of President Luis Abinader’s government to stimulate tourism in Puerto Plata, welcoming the participation of a fourth hotel chain in Punta Bergantín.
He provided details, stating that Karisma Hotels & Resorts, renowned for its luxury properties across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, has signed an agreement of understanding with the Punta Bergantín Trust. The project entails the development of a hotel with 300 rooms and a water park, with an investment totaling US$209 million dollars, as reported by Nuevo Diario.
The hotel chain’s portfolio includes notable brands such as Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts, Margaritaville Island Reserve, part of the Island Reserve Inclusive Collection by Karisma, and Azul Beach Resorts by Karisma.
